Background
The second Japan-China Joint Symposium on Fatigue of Engineering Materials and Structures will be held on 17-21 October in Chengdu by the State Key Laboratory of Traction Power (TPL), Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), with an aim of stimulating the progress of theoretical and technical knowledge in the field of fatigue research and providing a venue for extensive academic exchange between China and Japan. The first session commenced on 19-21 November 2008 in Kyoto, Japan, and produced a good result as expected. Delegates came to consensus after this session that the Symposium will be held alternately in China and Japan every three years for the purpose of further development in this field.
Theme
The Symposiums are a record of achievement and advancement in the research on fatigue. Papers that present research results, academic ideas, engineering experience, as well as technical examples, proposal and suggestions will be welcome for submission.
