    TPL, as an innovation platform, is open to undergraduate students. Its result, “The establishment of undergraduate research and engineering practice system based on key laboratory to cultivate students’ capability in practice and innovation", has won a first prize for National Teaching Achievements in 2005.

& Postgraduate student education

    TPL pays attention to improve graduate students’ ability through practice. Having an eye on the forefront of international technology, and focusing on the major demands for heavy-duty high-speed railway and a new urban mass transition, TPL has constructed a training system for innovative talents, relying on the laboratory for research and on the railway enterprises for practice. Emphasizing to develop students’ capability in interdisciplinary research, innovation and practice, TPL has provided many opportunities for post-graduates to take part in academic exchanges at home and abroad, encouraging them to publish higher level academic papers. All these efforts results in an improved training quality. The project, "focuses on national goals and trains innovative talents in vehicle engineering”, has won a first prize for “Sichuan Province Teaching Achievements” in 2005.
    Over the past five years, 212 post-graduate graduated from this institute, of which there were 183 postgraduate students, 28 doctoral students, 1 postdoctoral student. Dr. Zhu Minhao’ doctoral thesis, "Radial and composite micro-operation and damage mechanism " and Dr. Cai Chengbiao’s doctoral thesis , "high-speed railway train - line - bridge coupled vibration theory and application" have been awarded the title “ National Outstanding  PhD thesis ” in 2005 and 2007 respectively, and another three papers got nominated for the award. Doctoral student Yang Bin won the first China Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award in 2004; TPL laboratory graduate class of Grade 2005 was awarded the title "National Advanced class" by the Ministry of Education and China Youth Communist League Center Committee jointly.

& Censorship Group On Postgraduate Cultivation

    According to the requirement of Graduate School, and in order to improve the training quality of TPL, a censorship group is intended to set up:
