Basic research on key technology for high speed train safety service
& Research overview
The project gives priority to the research on high speed train safety service aiming:
- to explore an operation characterization model and method for high-speed hybrid system in order to command the dynamic behavior of high speed train and to demonstrate the failure mechanism of such key materials as wheel, rail, pantograph, cateneary and structure, operating in various movement patterns under multiple coupling;
- to explore an generalized failure model for material, structure damage, parameter and performance disintegration and complete operation safety simulation for high-speed train:
- to understand the interactive mechanism of generalized failure as to material, structure, parameter and performance, and to investigate an failure chain and characterization method, based on the above model;
- to study the derailment mechanism and influence of environmental factors, such as track, pantograph/cateneary conditions, wind and earthquake, on the operation safety;
- to explore the preventions and early warning devices for high speed train operation safety.
- to reduce and avoid friction/wear on rolling-slip surface and fretting failure on stationary fit surface through changing the interfacial characteristics of materials.
- to reduce generalized failure, improve structure reliability, material stability and operation safety.
